Charline is a treasure. She designed a kitchen that met all our needs, so that it is not only gorgeous but works hard too. Everything has its place, work flows easily, and it’s beautiful. Best of all, Charline is wonderful to work with. She is knowledgeable, responsive to your needs, troubleshoots any issues or problems, is down to earth and works hard for her clients. I recommend her unreservedly.

My kitchen rocks and it’s because of Charline.

To  Charline Beaulieu, Beaulieu Design, – Chris and I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for our exceptional kitchen renovation. In the early spring of 2008 we decided to renovate our kitchen – we had listened to many horror stories by friends and family and were quite anxious about putting such a large project in a complete stranger’s hands.

Chris and I are both very busy professionals and we knew we needed expert help as neither of us had any experience with a  renovation of this size. Charline of Beaulieu Design was  recommended by a friend. Charline had just relocated to the area.  We met with Charline and liked her immediately. She was warm and friendly and listened to our ideas and or suggestions to what we thought would work for us.  Within days, Charline came up with 7 design sketches for us to look at.  She walked us thru each sketch – going over the pros and cons of each. Once we decided on new design, she agreed to work with Carleton Design Build to achieve our goal.

The actual renovations started June 16th and by September 7th we were back in our totally redesigned kitchen – this was an extensive renovation with the kitchen being gutted, walls being removed, new windows and doors, new appliances, lighting  and then  the all important cupboards, island etc. Our “angel” Charline was on site weekly, if not more often, making sure the design was being followed.  She help us choose just the right style of cabinetry, paint, flooring, lighting  and  she even went to Toronto to get our granite for the kitchen. I remember the day our new doors were coming and we forget to get the lock sets – Charline went to Home Depot and picked them up for us!!

We had only 1 Change Order and that was at our request to install hard wood flooring in the family room adjacent to the kitchen.

Charline was extremely professional, kind and always very respectful of working in our home. We felt by the end of the project that she was a new friend.

The end result is a wonderful kitchen that definitely has a WOW factor. There is not one thing we would change. Chris and I enjoy cooking in our new kitchen and entertaining family and friends.

We built our dream home in 2009 on the Mississippi Lake in Carleton Place. Designing our own home was new territory for us so we needed to depend on people who were experts in the field.  Once the initial concept plans were completed we needed someone to help with the details of the living spaces.  Having heard only positive reviews about Charline Beaulieu and her work we knew just who to call.

Charline first met with both Randy and I to get to know who we were, including our likes and dislikes, and learn about our current lifestyle. We then discussed our vision for our new home. Charline took what she learned from that initial meeting and drew up working plans for our living spaces. She kept in close contact with us as she worked on our plans, asking questions and making revisions to meet our needs.  We couldn’t have asked for anything better.  We were very excited about the finished product when it was presented to us.

We were so pleased with her work; it was an easy decision to stay with Charline to complete the interior design and decorating work. I can only imagine the challenges Charline faced as she worked to stay within the financial budget we gave her while trying to create the dream home we envisioned.  What we wanted and what we could afford were at times misaligned, but Charline worked her magic with always a smile on her face. Knowing where to shop and having connections to the right people saved us hours of time as we worked to complete the interior design of the house.  The hours she spent with us creating a colour scheme and then shopping with us to pick out everything from custom cabinetry to bathroom fixtures, tile, appliances, and furniture were invaluable to us.  Her expert knowledge of high quality products and eye for seamless design to make a house a home brought our vision to fruition.

We moved in to the house just over a year ago and haven’t looked back.  There isn’t anything that we would change. The large, open living spaces are warm and welcoming and the working areas such as the kitchen are extremely functional and enjoyable to spend time in.  Charline Beaulieu’s interior design work made our dream come true and we will be forever grateful.

     I had gone through several designs for my new kitchen that were uninspired prior to working with Charline and I was looking for something more.  Fortunately I met Charline at the Ottawa Home & Garden Show!  After a short discussion it was clear that Charline would go the extra mile to ensure that every project she worked on was unique and special. 

Charline was exhaustive in exploring all possible layouts for the combined kitchen and dining room, working with me to review different floor plans and select the one that best fit the space.  She went above and beyond helping make cabinet and granite choices, arranging multiple visits to granite shops and making sure that the cabinet colour, finish and hardware fit perfectly.  The limestone range hood is truly a piece of art and exactly what I needed to make my new kitchen something to be proud of! 

Charline collaborated closely with the construction team through the entire project ensuring that any issues were promptly resolved and that the finished product delivered on her excellent design.  If you are interested in turning your space into something special, Charline is your choice.

Charline did an amazing job designing a kitchen and bathroom that was up-to-date yet tied in beautifully with the traditional character of our 1920’s home.  With her advice and assistance through the entire project, the design decisions and renovation process went very smoothly.  We absolutely love our new kitchen and  bathroom.   Thank you Charline.

In 2010 we had the pleasure of working with Charline Beaulieu on an extensive renovation project. Charline analysed our specific needs and requests and came up with a fantastic design after we had struggled for years with what to do to with the main floor of our home.  Everything we wanted and more was included in her concept. Her patience, attention to each detail, beautiful design choices, advice and selection of finishes were all exceptional.   We have a new living space which exceeded our expectations and impressed all who have seen it. We would definitely work with Charline again if we had the need and highly recommend her.

I opened my business in Almonte Ontario on 30 April 2011. Before establishing this enterprise I required a professional designer who could align my product and store design with my vision.  Charline  was able meet all of my requirements and much more for the design of the White Lilly. She was able to incorporate my Balinese clothing and accessories with the physical layout of the store. She brought to the project joy, passion and grace.

The Beaulieu family has a history of creativity , innovation and professionalism; I was able to contact Charline at anytime during the planing process for the development of the business; she was available and open to all suggestions.  My clients are overwhelmed with  the final outcome of the store resulting from Charline’s endeavors.  Many of my Ottawa clients have mentioned how impressed they are with the store and its appearance.

Opening a small business is very demanding especially in smaller communities, however to date my business has flourished and garnered a lot of interest from the local and Ottawa areas.   Regional Contacts has also conducted an interview and video session  on the White Lilly.   Having engaged Charline as the designer for the White Lilly  has been a key element in the success of my business.  I would highly recommend her as a designer for private or commercial projects.

Charline is very professional and pays great attention to detail. Her kitchen and bath designs are functional and creative.  She takes the time to understand her client’s needs and offers good advice to guide when you are not exactly sure what you want.

When we decided to renovate our kitchen we knew that we wanted to change everything about the 1986 kitchen that was in our home.  It was very dated and did not utilize the space well. It is a long, narrow kitchen which offered many possibilities but many challenges as well. Even after pouring over numerous magazines it was difficult to decide how to redefine the space in which we were living.

Charline Beaulieu of Beaulieu Designs met with us several times to discuss our likes and dislikes as well as how we saw our family using the new kitchen.  She presented us with seven designs to consider and then continued to help us “fine tune” the design once we had decided on one that worked for us.  Charline introduced us to local cabinet builders and continued to support us through the building and installation of our new cabinets.  She gave us names of tradespeople to do our granite countertop and our tile flooring.  Once those processes were underway she remained involved to ensure quality work was being provided.

We had never worked with a designer before and were a little intimidated by the prospect.  Working with Charline, however, was relaxed and professional.  We are thrilled with our new kitchen – it truely is the heart of our home.

Just a note of thanks for the great design work on the kitchen as well as the entire main floor. We were both very impressed with your professionalism, product knowledge and design sense. The structural changes along with the new colours, textures and materials have transformed the dated main floor into a truly enjoyable living space. It was a pleasure to work with you and we are looking forward to our next project.
